Set up your network with OfferDaemon
Configure a small CPA pilot in OfferDaemon: review your network settings, create one offer and prepare a publisher tracking link.
Reviewed 20 September 2026 · MyCPANetwork team
Have one configured offer, one approved publisher and a tracking link ready for an end-to-end test.
Before you start
Bring the advertiser’s approved landing URL, traffic rules, revenue rate, currency and tracking instructions. Have your agreed publisher payout and pilot limits ready. Use a controlled test partner account and an offer approved for testing; do not send unsolicited invitations to real publishers.
You need admin access to your own OfferDaemon network. The business lessons remain free to read without an account.
Create your workspace
If you have not registered, start an OfferDaemon trial. The current standard trial lasts 14 days and requires a card. Review the current pricing and billing terms before starting.
Your dashboard uses a network-specific address such as yournetwork.offerdaemon.net. Sign in with the admin account created for your workspace. Keep the dashboard address separate from the tracking domain used in publisher links.
Review the network settings
Open Settings in the admin panel and check your company identity and the tracking-domain configuration available to your workspace. Keep the defaults for a first test unless you have a specific reason to change them.
A custom dashboard domain and a custom redirect domain serve different purposes. Do not point one hostname at two services. If you want branded domains, follow the current OfferDaemon domain setup documentation and use the exact DNS values for your network.
Review the partner-facing information before inviting anyone. Your test should not expose another advertiser’s confidential terms or real partner information.
Create the first offer
- Open Offers → New Offer.
- Enter a clear Offer name and a stable Slug. The slug becomes read-only after creation.
- Enter the advertiser’s approved Offer URL. Use the macro picker to pass
{click_id}in the parameter the advertiser has agreed to return. - Add a description explaining the qualifying action, permitted traffic, market and restrictions.
- Select the agreed Revenue model. For a straightforward fixed-rate example, use CPA Fixed.
- Set the publisher Rate ($) and advertiser Revenue Rate ($) using your agreement. Keep the display payout text consistent with these values.
- Review visibility and activity. Public makes the offer visible to all approved publishers; do not select it for a restricted pilot unless that access is intended.
- Review postback options and save the offer. Enable auto-approval only if you have deliberately agreed to that workflow. Avoid recurring postbacks for a one-time event unless required by the integration.
If GEO targeting or caps appear in your configuration, use them to reflect the agreed restrictions. A software setting does not replace the written offer rules or your monitoring process.
A worked configuration example
For the fictional software offer used in this guide:
| Field | Illustrative value |
|---|---|
| Offer name | Freelancer software — paid subscription pilot |
| Revenue model | CPA Fixed |
| Publisher rate | $14 |
| Revenue rate | $20 |
| Visibility | Restricted to the intended test publisher |
The advertiser might accept the click ID in a URL like https://advertiser.example/subscribe?network_click={click_id}. This is a demonstration URL, not a live destination. Replace it with the advertiser’s exact approved URL and parameter.
If you assign an advertiser record, it organizes the offer internally. It does not create an advertiser login.
Prepare the publisher and link
Open Partners and create or review the test publisher through the available invitation/registration workflow. Confirm the account is approved for your pilot and can access the intended offer.
Use the partner tracking-link tool to select the offer and generate that publisher’s link. The publisher can also use the tracking-link tools available in its own offer view. Copy the generated URL; do not construct IDs or domains by guessing.
Add a simple test label such as sub1=pilot-test if using a supported sub-parameter. Save the offer, publisher and link in your test notes.
Common mistakes
Passing the wrong click token. The advertiser must store your actual click ID and return it later. Agree both directions.
Making a pilot offer public accidentally. Review visibility before enabling access.
Using a display label as the payout configuration. Check the numeric model and rate fields as well as the text shown to publishers.
Confusing saved with tested. A saved offer is ready for verification, not proof of correct tracking.
Your checklist
- I can access the correct network as an admin.
- Offer terms and numeric rates match the agreement.
- The destination passes the agreed click ID macro.
- Visibility and publisher approval match the pilot.
- I have the generated tracking link and test notes.
Next step
Run the click-to-conversion test before accepting live traffic.
